Since September of this year, residents of Kazakhstan can see not only the actual air pollution, but also find out in advance forecasts for the concentration of pollutants for a day and 48 hours for each observation post. The forecast of air pollution is relevant in the run-up to the heating season and in General for people suffering from upper respiratory tract diseases.
Since September of this year, with the support of the Finnish meteorological Institute, RSE "Kazhydromet" has launched a predictive model of atmospheric air quality based on the SILAM model (SystemforIntegratedmodeLlingofAtmosphericcomposition).
A year ago, RSE "Kazhydromet" launched an Interactive map for monitoring atmospheric air quality, which reflects information from 140 environmental posts in 45 localities of the country. The map shows the actual state of atmospheric air: dust, the concentration of pollutants, the degree of air pollution, and now the forecast of pollution up to two days.
Currently, actual and forecast data is available at the maps link.hydromet.kz
In the near future, forecast data will be available in the AirKz mobile app.
