In the capital, hydrogen sulfide contamination above 10 MPC was noted on 01.10.2020 at post No. 8 (Koktal-1)

In response to Facebook messages about the suffocating smog in Nur-Sultan and the lack of data in the AirKz mobile app, we inform you that if you do not use the mobile app for a long time, you need to wait a short time until the app is updated and the latest received data is loaded.
The first screen shot shows data from observation post # 10. the second screen shot shows that the AirKz mobile app works without interruptions.
Regarding the suffocating smog, we inform you that in the period from 19:00h on 27.09.2020, an anticyclonal type of weather is observed, a decrease in temperature at night led to increased heating of the private sector in Nur-Sultan.
From the evening of 27 September to 02 October 2020 repeatedly been fixed excess of maximum permissible concentrations:
- on suspended particles PM-2,5 (to 2.9 MPC), particulate matter PM-10 (up to 1.8 MPC), carbon oxide (up to 1.9 MPC), in nitrogen oxide (1.1 MPC), sulphur dioxide (2.8 MPC), hydrogen sulfide (to 10.7 MPC).
We note that high pollution of hydrogen sulfide above 10 MPC was noted on 01.10.2020 at post No. 8 (Koktal-1).
Mainly, atmospheric air pollution was observed in the districts of PNZ No. 10 (district OF ENU named after L. Gumilyov), PNZ No. 6 (Akzhol street), PNZ No. 8 (Koktal-1 MKR), PNZ No. 9 (Lyceum school district No. 72).
