The beginning of September this year was a real continuation of summer. in most parts of the Republic, the hot summer weather pleased residents of the country, in all regions the thermometer reached +27+33°C, and in the West of the country the air warmed up to +39°C. These days it was warmer than the climate norm by 7-9°C. Since September 3, in the North-Western half, and then in the rest of the country, the air temperature has dropped by 10-19°C, the reason for the sharp cold snap was a cold anticyclone from the regions of Scandinavia. At the end of the first and third decades, in some areas of the North-Eastern half and in the center of Kazakhstan, frosts of up to 1-4°C were observed at night, and in the mountainous regions of the TRANS-ili Alatau, as predicted, up to 3-6°C. Warm autumn days of "Indian summer" in most of Kazakhstan returned in the middle of the month, and in the West of Kazakhstan in the third decade of September.
In September 2020, as predicted, precipitation-rich weather was in the Northern half, in the East and West of Kazakhstan, with an excess of 1.3-3.6 times over the month. For example, on September 16, an active cyclone from the Barents sea, which shifted to the Kostanay region, caused heavy rain. On September 23, with a deep cyclone from the Kara sea, it rained at the Nur-Sultan weather station, and more than half of the monthly norm of 13 mm fell (the norm for the month is 22 mm). In Pavlodar, with the same cyclone, the next day there was heavy rain, 16 mm fell at a rate of 21 mm per month.
