In October 1907, in the village of Mikhaylovka, Pavlodar region, the Resettlement Department organized meteorological observations. The original name of the station was assigned in 1907 - "Isyn-Kul", unfortunately, there is no information why this name was the station, but by 1910 the station was renamed the Mikhailovka weather station (hereinafter-MS Mikhailovka) in honor of the village where it was located.
MS Mikhaylovka was moved twice in 1916 and in September 1958.
Today, the meteorological site is located on a flat, open area on the Northern outskirts of the village of Mikhaylovka. According to the current classification, the station operates under a second-class program.
From the first days of opening, meteorological and agrometeorological observations were made on MS Mikhaylovka. Observations of the weather on the MS did not stop even during the war years. During this period, in the absence of forms for making observations, it was necessary to draw them on Newspapers and record weather data there.
Data from meteorological and agrometeorological observations were used by many organizations in Soviet times, namely the agricultural Department of the Mirny state Farm, the variety Testing site, the carpool, the local Airport, and also served Russian military Airfields - they served the weather in Kupino, Slavgorod, and Novosibirsk. And currently, data is continuously transmitted to the Central office of Kazhydromet and to local Executive bodies of the Pavlodar region.
Over time, measuring instruments and technologies are being updated, which did not bypass MS Mikhailovka either.in 2005, MS observation technicians switched to processing and transmitting data information using special software and modern computer equipment, and in 2011 a modern Automatic weather station was installed on the territory of MS.
MS Mikhaylovka is a reference climate station with a century-long history of observations, which is part of the meteorological network of international exchange.
