RSE "Kazhydromet" makes a weekly forecast of the Caspian sea level.The Caspian sea freezes every year only in the Northern part (Kazakhstan part). The thickness of the ice varies from 25-30 to 60 cm.The deep-water areas of the Middle and southern Caspian are always free of ice.In the area of the Peshnaya weather station this week, there was a complete freeze, the ice thickness is 10 cm, the level fell below the dangerous mark!
In the Northern part of the Caspian sea, the level is expected to fluctuate around minus 28.28 m with a rise to a maximum of minus 27.89 m and a fall to a minimum of minus 29.06 m.
In the Middle part of the Caspian sea, sea level fluctuation is expected around minus 28.27 m with a rise to a maximum of minus 27.88 m and a fall to a minimum of minus 28.82 m.
The actual state of the water surface of the Caspian sea for the period from November 26 to December 02, 2020 corresponds to the previous weekly forecast.
