Published 24.05.2024 In the south and south-east of the republic, favorable conditions for the growth and development of winter wheat were observed. Precipitation above the average annual values contributed to the accumulation of moisture in the soil. In the observed areas of the south-east of winter wheat, the phase "appearance of the lower stem node" - "flowering" is noted. The height of the plants varied from 27 to 74 cm. The total number of stems per 1 m2 ranges from 449 to 552 pieces. The condition of winter wheat is mostly good.
In the south and south-east of the republic, sowing of spring grain crops has been completed in the observed areas. Grain-growing regions of the northern half of the republic started sowing spring grain crops after preliminary tillage. However, in some areas, the precipitation held back the pace of the sowing campaign. In the south and south-east of the country, the development phase "formation of nodular roots" - "appearance of the lower stem node" is noted on crops of spring cereals, "shoots" - "3rd leaf" on late crops. The height of the plants varied from 11 cm to 42 cm depending on the phase of development. The average number of spring grain crops per 1m2 was in the range of 95-548 pcs. The condition of the plants is mostly good.
In the west of the country, the "shoots" phase of development is marked on spring barley crops - "formation of nodular roots". In spring wheat crops, the phases of development "germination of grain" - "shoots" are noted. The condition of spring cereals is mostly good. The sowing of grain crops continues.
In the center of the country, the "3rd leaf" development phase continues on spring barley crops in the Abai district (agropost Agrogorodok). The appearance of the first shoots is noted in the observed areas of spring wheat. We started sowing spring wheat in Karkaraly, Aktogay, Bukhar-Zhyrau, Nurinsky districts after preliminary tillage.
In the east of the country, the sowing of spring wheat continues, in the Urjar district of the Abai region, the "tillering" phase of development is noted on spring wheat crops. The condition of spring wheat is good, the height of the plants is 12 cm. In the East Kazakhstan region, the phases of development "grain germination" - "3rd leaf" are noted on spring wheat crops, the condition of the plants is mostly good and excellent.
In the south of the country, the sowing of heat-loving crops (soybeans, rice, cotton) continues. In the west, the first shoots are observed on safflower crops, in the east, the sowing of sunflower seeds continues, the "shoots" phase is noted on crops. In the Turkestan region, the phases of development "1st real leaf" - "3rd real leaf" are marked on cotton crops. The condition of the plants is mostly good and excellent. In the south and south-east, corn sowing continues, in early crops the phases "appearance of the 5th leaf"-"appearance of the 9th leaf" are noted, plant height is 23-38 cm.
In the Turkestan region, cotton crops show phases of development "1st real leaf" - "3rd real leaf", the condition of the plants is mostly excellent and good.
In the observed areas in the North Kazakhstan region, the Nalobino agropost began sowing lentils and in the vicinity of the Bulak agropost, they began sowing oilseed flax after pre-tillage.
In Almaty, Zhetysu, Karaganda and North Kazakhstan regions, potato planting is noted in the observed areas. In the Almaty region, the first potato shoots are celebrated in the vicinity of the Akkaynar agropost.
In the southern regions of the republic, the "appearance of inflorescences" – "flowering" phase is observed everywhere on crops of perennial grasses (alfalfa, esparcet, clover), in the Zhambyl region in the vicinity of the Saudakent and Oshakty weather stations of the Turkestan region, the first slope of the green mass is noted.
At the end of the past decade, pastures in the Moyinkum and Shusky districts of Zhambyl region, in the Shetsky district of Karaganda region and some pastures in the Mangystau region were not grazed, pastures in the Akzhaiksky district of West Kazakhstan region were strongly grazed, moderate grazing of pastures is observed in the Kurmangazinsky district of Atyrau region, in the Kaztalov district of West Kazakhstan region, in the Mangystau district of Mangystau the region and the Ulytau district of the Ulytau region, in the rest of the territory the pastures are poorly grazed.
The overall visual assessment of grassland is generally good, some pastures are satisfactory, excellent condition in Zhambyl and Enbekshikazakh districts of Almaty region, in Shet district of Karaganda region, Beine district of Mangystau region and Ualikhanov district of North Kazakhstan region.
In the second decade of May, soil moisture accumulation conditions were satisfactory and optimal in the main grain-bearing regions of the country, with the exception of certain areas where unsatisfactory soil moisture reserves were noted.
